6. Your Skin is Dry

Your skin is your body’s largest organ, so it obviously needs to stay hydrated. One of the earliest signs of full-on dehydration, which can lead to much more severe problems, is dry skin. When you fail to drink enough water, you will also sweat less; that might sound like a good thing, but it interferes with your body’s natural ability to wash away excess dirt and oil accumulated throughout the day. If you want to prevent or suppress breakouts, drinking enough water will work wonders.

7. You’re Outrageously Thirsty

There’s nothing more satisfying than a cold glass of water when you wake up with a hangover from hell. That’s your body’s way of telling you what it needs, so listen to it! Alcohol dehydrates the entire body, and drinking water helps your fluid levels get back to normal.

8. You Stay Sick Longer

In order for our bodies to successfully flush out toxins, we must drink water. Your organs work hard to filter out certain waste products. Just as a car’s engine needs fuel to run efficiently, your body needs water to function properly. When your body is dehydrated, organs start pulling water from stored areas like your blood, which leads to an entirely different level of problems.
