9. Your Eyes Are Dry

Failure to consume enough water leads to dry, bloodshot eyes. Your tear ducts dry up when your body lacks water. This could cause all kinds of damage to your eyes, especially if you wear contacts on a daily basis.

10. You Experience Hunger Pangs

Do you ever get the irresistible urge to eat when you wake up in the middle of the night? You might experience that raging hunger throughout the day too. Dehydration impacts the part of the brain that regulates both appetite and thirst. When dehydration sets in, it causes you to believe you need to eat when you really need liquid intake. Instead of grabbing a bag of chips, you really need to be drinking water. Try it the next few times your appetite kicks in. You’d be surprised how fast that hunger disappears.

11. You Experience Constipation

Since the water you consume helps lubricate the digestive system, staying hydrated is critical. When dehydration sets in, the colon uses up the water that would have been used by the intestines in the next step of the digestive process. The lack of lubricant in the intestines ultimately leads to constipation. To avoid this uncomfortable pain, doctors strongly advise adequate water intake.
